I founded OHMC 10+ years ago so we can come together to meditate, practice, share our thoughts, and build community.

The practices are based on the tradition of the Plum Village Community, and our teachings are inspired by a variety of individuals and groups including Thich Nhat Hanh and teachers from many other Zen, vipassana, and other mindfulness based traditions.

One of our projects at Opening Heart, focusing on issues of social injustice, internal biases, and how we can mindfully heal ourselves and others.

At Making-Visible, activist leaders from frontline communities share their inspiring stories in a mindfulness webinar setting in order to educate, inform, and grow our understanding, compassion, and skillful action.
