RECORDED TALKS
Podcast Tranquility du Jour #527: Life is Practice
This past May, I got “that call” - the call where I learned I had cancer. While listening to my doctor explain what I would need to do next, I was amazed to discover that I had the capacity to remember my practice and turn toward my breath instead of panicking or fearing the future.
You’ll also hear how I recently reset my health through diet and exercise that led to more energy, a 25-lb weight loss, and better overall health.
I share this hoping that you stay with and continue to build your practice so that when life throws you its version of "that call" you will be able to live through it with more ease.
I talk candidly about these experiences and other times I turned to mindfulness to deal with intensely difficult moments on the Tranquility du Jour podcast.

Talk at Blue Cliff Monastery
mindful parenting - JULY 2019
I was honored to be asked to give a talk to the community at Blue Cliff Monastery during the family retreat in 2019. My talk focused on the profound influence Thich Nhat Hanh and the mindfulness practice have had in my role as a parent.
