Building an Authentic Life: The Eight Awarenesses of Great Beings

Mondays, Sept 12 - Dec 12, 4:00-5:00pm EDT
No class on 9/26, 11/7 and 12/5
convert time zone

In this class we will learn and study the Buddhist teaching on the Eight Awarenesses of the Great Beings. This sutra (teaching verse) was highly regarded by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh and covers a wide range of what the Buddha taught and how to apply that to our everyday lives, including concepts and practices on impermanence, desire, birth and death, and oversleeping (really!)

Most classes will include a short teaching on one of the awarenesses, a relaxing guided meditation, time to share in a small group of 2-3 students, and time to check-in with the larger group. You may also choose to set up a private coaching session with Annie during the semester and you are encouraged to attend group meditations — either with the class (offered freely by one of the students) or with the Opening Heart Mindfulness Community.

No experience in yoga, meditation, or mindfulness is required. Fees are on a sliding scale, and no one will be turned away for financial reasons.

In an effort to reduce financial barriers, we are offering Sliding Scale Pricing on select Circle Yoga programs. The Reduced Rate is for those facing financial hardship, the Standard Rate is our usual fee that covers costs including teacher pay, and the Pay It Forward Rate helps cover fellow students who need to pay less. If you need to pay less than the Reduced Rate, partial scholarships are also available.

Pricing
$275.00 Standard Rate - Building an Authentic Life
$220.00 Reduced Rate - Building an Authentic Life
$330.00 Pay It Forward Rate - Building an Authentic Life
